One of the suspected airport terrorists in Brussels was reportedly detained last year in Turkey. According to The Guardian, alleged suicide attacker Ibrahim el-Bakraoui wasn't arrested in 2015 based on a specific threat but rather on suspicions that he was tied to foreign terror organizations. El-Bakraoui was deported to the Netherlands after his arrest, and while he was not known to Belgian authorities they were reportedly made aware of his previous run-in with authorities.
