Bulger Opens Up to Feds

It must be nice to be able to talk about life on the run after all these years. After putting so much effort into evading capture, James "Whitey" Bulger has been unusually candid with FBI agents, disclosing some interesting details about his 16 years as a fugitive. Some of the nuggets: He said he and girlfriend Catherine Greig often crossed the U.S. border into Tijuana using fake IDs to get through security, where he could buy a drug to treat high blood pressure and chest pain without a prescription. In these years, he built an identity that bore no resemblance to the infamous criminal he was remembered to be. But some old habits die hard: He still adhered to the mobster’s code of silence.
