Nine people were killed and 20 injured Sunday when a tour bus lost control on an icy Oregon interstate. The vehicle went through a guardrail and tumbled a few hundred feet down an embankment off eastern Oregon’s Interstate 84. Rescue workers had to use ropes to retrieve victims—about 40 people were on the bus, police estimate. It is still unknown who owns the bus and where the passengers were traveling. It was the second deadliest crash in Oregon on Sunday; a 69-year-old man died earlier that morning in a rollover also caused by ice.
