CA Allows Kids 3+ Legal Parents

Cue rants about the destruction of the American family. On Friday, California Governor Jerry Brown signed into law a bill allowing children to have more than two legal parents. The bill is mostly geared toward children of same-sex couples to allow both biological parents and a parent’s same-sex partner to retain parental rights, which will in turn make such things as custody and child support easier for courts to determine. Of course, opponents are pleading for lawmakers to think of the children, claiming that the new approach will be damaging and confusing.
