Now here's a serious Laius-Oedipus rivalry. A man was arrested Sunday in Ventura, Calif., after he reportedly attacked his 18-year-old son with a sword. Antonio Gutierrez, 43, apparently accused his son of being lazy and not doing chores around the house. He chose to express that concern by showing off his gladiator skills, picking up a four-foot-long sword and lacerating his son's hand, which bled all over the place. He was charged for assault with a deadly weapon. It's not sure why he had that elvish blade laying around.
