British Prime Minister David Cameron faced questioning during an emergency session of the House of Commons on Thursday. Cameron took questions for two and a half hours on the Commons floor from often angry lawmakers who wanted to hear about his handling of the rioting in London. Cameron outlined measures to expand police powers in emergencies and suggested that the government was working on plans to prevent rioters from using social media. He sought to reassure lawmakers, saying, “There are now more police on the streets, more people arrested, and more criminals being prosecuted. The fight back has well and truly begun.”
