A bomber killed himself and at least 38 other people in the Nigerian city of Lagos Sunday. Windows were blown out and motorcycles set on fire by the tremendous blast, which damaged two nearby churches where worshipers attended Easter services. The bomber apparently tried to enter a church parking lot with his vehicle, but was deterred by barricades and a security guard. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, but many suspect a radical Islamic sect. Nigeria’s population is divided between a Christian southern region and a largely Muslim north, and churches have been targeted on holidays before.
