Two people are in custody in Paris, including one who is on a terror watch list, after a parked car stocked with seven gas cylinders was discovered near Notre Dame cathedral on the weekend, French officials announced Wednesday. Police say they believe the suspects may have been attempting to conduct a test run, and set the car’s lights flashing on the vehicle that had its license plates removed. Investigators said an employee of a nearby bar flagged down police Sunday morning to check on the suspicious car. A detonating device was not found inside the car, but documents in Arabic were reportedly present.
