Carly Fiorina told Yahoo News on Monday that she supports waterboarding suspected terrorists despite an in-depth Senate report showing torture produced little actionable intelligence. “I believe that all of the evidence is very clear—that waterboarding was used in a very small handful of cases [and] was supervised by medical personnel in every one of those cases,” the Republican presidential candidate said. “And I also believe that waterboarding was used when there was no other way to get information that was necessary.” Fiorina in 2007, as part of a CIA advisory board, suggested torture apologist Jose Rodriquez should “be a spokesman for the agency.” Rodriguez ordered the destruction of videotapes of waterboarding but was not charged.
