Castile’s Girlfriend: Police Lied About Hospital

Lavish Reynolds, who filmed the aftermath of her boyfriend’s death at the hands of Minnesota police, said Thursday that officers lied to her about which hospital he’d been taken to. Philando Castile died after a police officer shot him in a vehicle with Reynolds and her 4-year-old daughter. “They told me he was at Regions Hospital,” Reynolds said. “When I got to Regions Hospital, he was not there. He was at HCMC.” When reporters asked her why she livestreamed the aftermath, she said, “I wanted everyone in the world to know.” She added, “I didn’t do it for pity, I didn’t do it for fame .. They killed him, and he’s never coming back.”
