This statuesque British beauty has already had a brush with royalty, earning a Golden Globe nomination for her convincing turn as Queen Victoria in director Jean-Marc Vallée's 2009 film, The Young Victoria. Like Kate, Blunt has blue eyes, has found her dream man ( The Office's John Krasinski, whom she married last year), and, if her performance in The Devil Wears Prada is any indication, has a penchant for sartorial elegance.

Blunt's Prada nemesis, and this year's Oscar's co-host, is also a viable choice to play Middleton. Standing at 5-foot-8, Hathaway could easily pass for Middleton (5-foot-10), and the two also have the same shimmering, dark locks. Hathaway has played a princess onscreen a whopping three times—in The Princess Diaries, Ella Enchanted, and, last but not least, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. She also famously played Middleton in a hilarious skit alongside Andy Samberg on Saturday Night Live.

The star of MTV's Laguna Beach and The Hills doesn't have much professional acting experience, but she has exhibited a knack for melodrama on the semi-scripted reality show. Although Conrad comes in a bit short at 5-foot-6, she bears a striking resemblance to Middleton and shares her love of fashion. Kate worked as an accessories buyer in 2006, and Conrad launched her clothing line, LC by Lauren Conrad, in fall 2009 at Kohl's stores nationwide.

As one-half of a paparazzi-targeted Hollywood power couple along with hubby Tom Cruise, Holmes has ample experience playing second fiddle to a man of considerable clout. Plus, Holmes has the height (5-foot-9), and also has experience playing a member of American "royalty," recently appearing as first lady Jacqueline Kennedy in the controversial TV miniseries The Kennedys.

This up-and-coming actress was one of the breakout stars of this year's Sundance Film Festival, winning a Special Jury Prize for her performance in the relationship drama Like Crazy. Jones was also born in Birmingham, just a couple of hours by car from Middleton's birthplace in Reading, and acted alongside The Queen (Helen Mirren), in last year's Julie Taymor film, The Tempest.

The actress-cum-singer, with her piercing blue eyes, bears a close resemblance to the future princess. She's been engaged in a roller-coaster relationship similar to that of Wills and Kate, onscreen in the film (500) Days of Summer, and plays the bride of a prince (James Franco) in the upcoming film Your Highness.

London-born actress Hayley Atwell was plucked from obscurity by Woody Allen for his 2007 film, Cassandra's Dream. At 28, she's just one year younger than Middleton and played a British royal—Lady Elizabeth "Bess" Foster—in the 2008 film The Duchess.

The star of The Duchess, however, was played by none other than Keira Knightley, who deftly assumed the role of aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, in a critically acclaimed performance. She's also no stranger to a gilded cage, starring as a woman raised in a secluded boarding school in last year's Never Let Me Go, and as Guinevere, the legendary queen consort of King Arthur, in the 2004 film King Arthur.

A virtual unknown, New Zealand native Nico Evers-Swindell has appeared in bit parts on a few TV shows— NCIS: Los Angeles, Law & Order, and Guiding Light among them—and had a small role in the 2010 Mel Gibson revenge thriller, Edge of Darkness. He does, however, possess William's good looks, and the former Victoria University of Wellington student has some famous siblings—he's the cousin of Olympic rowing champs Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell.

This English actor of stage and screen is best known for his poignant portrayal of British Olympian Harold Abrahams in 1981's Chariots of Fire, which went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture. With his long nose, tall, slender physique, and male pattern baldness, Cross is a solid choice to play Prince William's father.
