Though they were all smiles on the sidelines of last year’s Super Bowl, their chemistry at this year’s game might be a little different. At the Audi Forum Dallas pre-Super Bowl cocktail party on Friday night, Demi declared herself a die-hard Packers fan (both in real life and in Fantasy Football) while Ashton scoffed at the comment and said, “it is against my code of ethics” to root for Green Bay’s team. one of many traditions the NFL and U.S. military have shared in Super Bowl history. In 2009, the Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration squadron performed a pregame flyover, and Tech. Sgt. Holly Bracken presented the nation’s colors during the game’s national anthem.

Academy Award-nominated director and football fanatic Spike Lee celebrated the New York Giants' victory over the Patriots in 2008. “Everybody except the people of New York thought the Patriots would be invincible, and that’s the great thing about sports!” Lee raved in an interview following the Patriots’ epic loss that year after a nineteen game winning streak. “When you start copywriting stuff, 19-0, you’re playing with the gods…New York’s back on top, baby!”

Actor James Belushi tipped his hat to the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears, who went head-to-head in 2007’s Super Bowl XLI at Miami Gardens’ Dolphin Stadium. Belushi was the voice of Ray the Gerbil in a Blockbuster ad that aired during the game and was said to be one of the funniest that year.
