In 2009, football fan Marc Anthony followed in the footsteps of fellow Hispanic singer Gloria Estefan when he became a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins. “I’m not doing this as a singer,” said Anthony, adding, “[It’s] just because I love football.” Though their team didn’t make it to 2010’s big game, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony still attended the Super Bowl spectacle with their twins, Emme and Max, at Sun Life stadium in Miami Gardens. After a hard-fought battle with the New Orleans Saints, the Indianapolis Colts took home the championship title.

Though they were all smiles on the sidelines of last year’s Super Bowl, their chemistry at this year’s game might be a little different. At the Audi Forum Dallas pre-Super Bowl cocktail party on Friday night, Demi declared herself a die-hard Packers fan (both in real life and in Fantasy Football) while Ashton scoffed at the comment and said, “it is against my code of ethics” to root for Green Bay’s team. The couple was still able to overcome their differences with a loud cry for "FOOOOTBAAAALL!" Kutcher played on his high school team, and in 2008 the actor took on the role of assistant coach to the freshman football team at L.A.’s Harvard-Westlake school.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and their eldest son Maddox looked on from stadium stands with dropped jaws and erupting smiles during what must have been an exciting moment in last year’s Super Bowl—or maybe a victorious one for the New Orleans Saints? Pitt, who has invested a lot of time, money, and effort to rebuilding New Orleans since 2005’s Hurricane Katrina is allegedly a big Saints fan.

Latifah, who belted out “America the Beautiful” before last year’s kick-off, looks like she was feeling the football spirit on the sidelines at Sun Life Stadium last year. During
the pre-game show and National Anthem press conference, the Grammy-winning singer said, “I’m amazingly proud to be an American. I’ve watched how we’ve shown up around the world. It’s a great time to be an American and to be at the Super Bowl.”

Swank and Connick Jr., who costarred in 2007’s romantic drama
P.S. I Love You, were spotted cozying up on the field during last year’s big game, where the close friends were
cheering in tandem for the Saints. In 2005, Connick became honorary chair of Habitat for Humanity’s “Operation Home Delivery,” a long-term rebuilding plan for families victimized by Hurricane Katrina in the crooner’s native New Orleans. He also conceived the plans for Habitat’s “
Musicians’ Village,” a new home for some of New Orleans’ old master musicians who were forced to flee the city during the Hurricane. Swank will host this year’s “
Big Game Big Give” Super Bowl XLV benefit party in Dallas.

While husband Tim McGraw looked poised to get in the game, Faith Hill did some fist-pumping at 2009’s Super Bowl XLIII between the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers in Tampa, Florida. Hill, who became
the signature voice behind the theme song for
NFL on NBC’s Sunday Night Football in 2006, also
sang “America the Beautiful” on the Super Bowl pre-show in 2009.

General David H. Petraeus, commander of the United States Central Command, walked onto the field to perform the ceremonial coin toss for the Arizona Cardinals’ and Pittsburgh Steelers’ team captains at 2009’s Super Bowl XLIII. The coin-toss is
one of many traditions the NFL and U.S. military have shared in Super Bowl history. In 2009, the Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration squadron performed a pregame flyover, and Tech. Sgt. Holly Bracken presented the nation’s colors during the game’s national anthem.

Actors Kurt Russell and Kate Hudson, daughter of Russell’s longtime partner Goldie Hawn, look like they were the center of attention on the sidelines before 2008’s battle for the NFL championship between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Hudson finagled Super Bowl tickets from New England Patriots’ owner Robert Craft when she sat next to him during a game earlier that season. “I’m such a football fan. This is my first time at the Super Bowl and I’m taking my dad for his Christmas present,”
she said. Kurt Russell is no stranger to the sport, and
will star as the coach of a high-school football team in 2011’s
Touchback.

Academy Award-nominated director and football fanatic Spike Lee celebrated the New York Giants' victory over the Patriots in 2008. “Everybody except the people of New York thought the Patriots would be invincible, and that’s the great thing about sports!” Lee raved in an interview following the Patriots’ epic loss that year after a nineteen game winning streak. “When you start copywriting stuff, 19-0, you’re playing with the gods…New York’s back on top, baby!”

Actor James Belushi tipped his hat to the Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears, who went head-to-head in 2007’s Super Bowl XLI at Miami Gardens’ Dolphin Stadium. Belushi was the voice of Ray the Gerbil in a Blockbuster ad that aired during the game and was said to be one of the funniest that year.
