Perez Hilton and Demi Moore, two of Twitter’s most prolific updaters, have spent the last week fighting over a photo the gossip blogger posted on his site. Tallulah Willis, the 15-year-old daughter of Demi and Bruce Willis, was photographed dancing at a club with a low-cut shirt, and Perez promptly posted it to his page with the charming caption: “Tallulah Willis, 15, dressing like a slut! Look at her boobs!" Demi fired back on Twitter: “Clearly Perez Hilton isn't taking violating child pornography laws very seriously. He might not but there are a lot of people who do! Anyone who advertises follows or supports Perez supports violating child pornography laws!" To which Perez responded, “Expect another letter from my attorney, kitten. Xoxo.” Demi’s rebuttal: “This is not a game. Children should not be exploited. They must be protected.” Given Perez’s reputation to bait stars on the micro-blogging service and the already bitter back-and-forth repartee, this seems like one feud that may continue after the hazy days of summer.

Last week, Noel Gallagher—the main guitarist and songwriter for Oasis—announced he was abandoning the rock group after 18 years, saying he was “forced to leave” because “the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends, and comrades has become intolerable” and that “the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates” gave him no other option. Apparently brothers Liam and Noel were fighting behind the scenes of a rock festival in Paris before the split. While the group’s division is not entirely unexpected because of the British band’s turbulent history, ticket-holding fans were still distressed. The following night’s concert was canceled and that wonderwall of brotherly bonds was crumbled forever.

What is it about the MTV Movie Awards that incites such spectacles from audience members? In 2007, Tommy Lee and Kid Rock-both exes of Pamela Anderson-came to blows at the ceremony for reasons unknown. Reportedly (no cameras caught the action, as they were focused on a performance by Alicia Keys) Tommy Lee was sitting in his seat when Kid Rock walked over and punched him. We'll never know for sure, but it appears as if Lee instigated the fight, as he was thrown out afterward and charged with a misdemeanor by the Las Vegas police. "Who won?" Jamie Foxx asked from the stage later that night. "I was in the bathroom...Pamela Anderson has got a hard choice to make."

Back in the summer of 2006, a high school-style brawl broke out between Entourage's Jeremy Piven and Stephen Dorff, when Dorff cut in front of Piven in a bathroom line at New York's Bungalow 8. The fight erupted in the wee hours of the morning, when both men were "well lubricated," according to the New York Post. After a series of verbal jabs, Piven obnoxiously called Dorff (of Blade and Cecil B. DeMented fame) a has-been, and Dorff responded, "At least I am a movie star-you're only on TV! Cable TV!" Piven then began shouting expletives at him, until security shoved him into a bathroom. He left shortly after, while Dorff continued to hang around, threatening to beat up Piven.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson first went public with their love in May 2008-but less than a year later, Ronson's family was seeking a restraining order against LiLo. During one famous episode in London, the couple reportedly got physical at a London club because Lohan was dirty dancing with an ex-boyfriend. And in the weeks leading up their official April break-up, Lohan was often spotted melodramatically pleading with Ronson to take her back-and cursing her for reportedly cheating on her. She even took her fury to the Internet, passionately Tweeting about their crumbling relationship.

Before he started attacking Demi, self-proclaimed Queen of All Media Perez Hilton was never shy about name-calling, but he went too far when he confronted Black Eyed Peas rapper "a fucking faggot" and was then punched by Peas' manager Polo Molina. "I wanted to hurt him with the word I chose," Hilton later commented. "Unfortunately, the one who got hurt was me." The Gays and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), however, didn't see it that way: ""For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, 'The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,' is incredibly dangerous," the organization said in a statement.

Ryan O'Neal and his son Griffin have had a long streak of tough love arguments, starting in 1983 when Ryan knocked out two of his18-year-old son's teeth. The image made its way to every major entertainment publication in the country, forever tarnishing the Love Story heartthrob's image, although no charges were filed. Then in 2007, Ryan caught the attention of the authorities when he discharged a gun and fired a so-called "warning shot" while arguing with Griffin who was brandishing a fireplace poker. Again, no charges were filed, but this family takes its feuds seriously.

Make no mistake: Jack Bauer will kick your ass. The 24 star reportedly started-and ended-a fight with Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough at a Metropolitan Museum Costume Gala after party in May 2009, where Sutherland was chatting with Brooke Shields. Sutherland believed McCollough had bumped into Shields and, after he neglected to apologize, was head-butted by the actor and suffered a broken nose. Shields' statement? McCollough did nothing wrong. McCollough told investigators that Sutherland "was drunk and obnoxious and wouldn't back down or be logical." The two called a truce, and the assault charges against Sutherland were dropped.

The feud between Beverly Hills 90210 best-friends-turned-rivals Brenda and Kelly wasn't just an act, some say. In her 2008 book StoriTelling, Tori Spelling dished that costars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth's real-life hatred toward each other once led to a fistfight on the 90210 set-and ultimately to Doherty's mysterious firing from the show. (Doherty claims that Spelling's accounts are greatly exaggerated.) The two didn't speak to each other for more than a decade after the series ended, but they reunited-and mended past wounds-last year, when the 30-somethings agreed to star in The CW's new version the classic high school drama. The two were even reported hugging and giggling during the filming.

Everybody knows you don't mess with preppy fashion designers-but some have to learn their lesson the hard way. In May 2006, Tommy Hilfiger went after Guns N' Roses front man Axl Rose in the middle of Rosario Dawson's 27th birthday party at Manhattan club The Plumm, for reasons that still remain unclear. Some say Hilfiger was peeved that Rose moved his girlfriend's drink, others say he was annoyed that he'd been asked to make room for the rocker and his entourage. And still others paint a more thuggish image of the fashion mogul, suggesting the attack was premeditated. Whatever the reason, Hilfiger went "nuclear" on Rose, socking him in the eye, before being escorted out. After the fight, Rose brushed himself off and played an acoustic set with the rest of GNR. All's well that ends well?

Though not technically a spontaneous altercation, in 2002, Saved by the Bell's Dustin Diamond (a.k.a., Screech) and Welcome Back, Kotter's Ron Palillo (a.k.a., Horshack) duked it out-nerd on nerd-on FOX's Celebrity Boxing 2. Or more accurately, Diamond mercilessly pummeled his "wild-eyed geek rival" until he was a "confused, bruised mess," Entertainment Weekly wrote. The fight made it onto the magazine's list of that year's 10 Ickiest Reality TV moments and helped to morph Diamond's reputation from dork to badass.
