Will and Jada Smith’s $20 million estate in Calabasas, California, is described as a “castle” by neighbors, and has its own lake, tennis court, putting green, and basketball court. It sits conveniently close to the New Village Academy of Calabasas, the private school the Smiths founded, which provides a laptop for every child and serves only organic, sugar-free, low-fat food to students.

Ensconced in the exclusive Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles is the estate of the late Dynasty, Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills 90210 producer Aaron Spelling. His widow, Candy Spelling, who put the home on the market last week, said she’s unsure how many rooms there are—maybe 100?—including a gift-wrapping room, bowling alley, and backyard waterfall.

Since 2003, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston have called Florida home while living in a community named—no joke—Jumbolair. The gated community primarily attracts pilots, and the actor can step straight from his Boeing 707’s tarmac to his front door. Mr. Kotter would be so proud.

Though the housing market had already started to slump in early 2008, Donald Trump still managed to get a cool $95 million for his Palm Beach home last May. The 80,000 square foot estate contains a beauty salon, movie theater, art gallery, conservatory, and parking for 40 cars. Having purchased the manse for $41 million in 2004, Trump managed to double its value in four years with renovations and a dash of Donald magic.

Two years ago, the celeb hounds of Los Angeles were obsessed with the arrival of soccer star and fashionista couple David and Victoria Beckham to their area code. Their $22 million mansion, which sits down the street from fellow glam duo TomKat, boasts six bedrooms and nine bathrooms—all of which await his return from Milan, where he’s bending the ball while on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy.

In November 2008, fires raged throughout Santa Barbara and flickered dangerously close to Oprah’s $50 million home, but the billionaire everywoman’s sometime getaway—and countless Emmys—remained unscathed. The sprawling estate takes over 42 acres and includes a man-made lake and master bedroom-size closet for Stedman, the luckiest man in the world.

Remaining stateside didn’t suit jet-setting personality of George Clooney. Based on BFF Brad Pitt’s recommendation, Clooney purchased his famed Lake Como residence in northern Italy for $6 million in 2002. A minor kerfuffle with neighbors occurred when he tried to privatize the beach in front of his 18th-century home, but all was quickly smoothed over with the flash of a grin and invite to his home’s pizza room.

Syndication can afford you a sweet vacation spot. When Jerry Seinfeld wants to escape New York’s Upper West Side, he heads to East Hampton, New York. The Seinfelds bought the Spanish-style stunner from Billy Joel in 2000 for $32 million (Grammys not included). The 12-acre waterfront property came complete with a baseball diamond and 22-car garage.

After 34 years of farming her own pumpkins and harvesting her own wheat, Martha Stewart sold her “Turkey Hill” home in Westport, Connecticut, for $6.7 million—though it is reported that she wanted $8.9 million for it. The Georgian-style house has nine bedrooms, and on the property, a restored barn, a chicken coop, and separate cottage. Martha still has several other properties to make into good things—as she once told a crowd at a panel: “I collect houses like other people collect paintings.”

Michael Jackson’s former play palace sits on 2,800 acres in Santa Barbara County and is surrounded by vineyards. The bedazzled pop star purchased his Neverland Ranch for $17 million in 1987, but after he was unable to pay off $24.5 million owed against it in 2008, its title was transferred to the Sycamore Valley Ranch Company (of which he owns a part). Alas, the Ferris wheel and merry-go-round have since been removed and are set to be auctioned next month.
