General Motors CEO Mary Barra revealed the auto maker is working on a self-driving car to compete alongside the likes of Apple and Google, USA Today reported Tuesday. Though GM has “a lot of efforts that are confidential,” Barra said the Cadillac division is developing a “super cruise” system and will have a fleet of self-driving, semi-electric Chevrolet Volts at one of its test facilities. Barra also said GM’s mid-$30,000 Bolt electric sedan is expected to hit showrooms in 2017.
