The Golden State is looking rather tarnished: California’s unemployment rate hit 11.2 percent in March, up from 10.6 percent in February and well above the national rate in March of 8.5 percent. The state lost 62,100 jobs last month, and there are a total of 2,080,000 unemployed in the state.
