So America may not end up turning a page on Bush-era policies after all: The Senate has followed in the House’s footsteps and voted overwhelmingly against President Obama’s funding for the closure of Guantanamo Bay. The 90-6 vote passed an amendment that eliminated $80 million in funds earmarked for Guantanamo in the $91 billion war-funding bill. “We will never allow terrorists to be released into the United States," said Majority Leader Harry Reid.
