Having proceeded carefully over the Iranian presidential controversy, the White House seemed to have finally released its official position on Tuesday. When asked whether Barack Obama recognized Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the elected-Iranian president, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said, "This was a decision and a debate ongoing in Iran by Iranians, they were going to choose their leadership.
