One of Edward Kienholz's greatest installations, The Beanery, is temporarily moving from the Stedelijk Musuem in Amsterdam to The National Gallery in London. The Guardian calls the tableau "one of the masterpieces of modern times," on par with works by Mark Rothko and Richard Serra. The Beanery is a recreation of an American diner scene that "creates a world of stinking, clinging horror that you can't get out of your mind."
