Tareq and Michaele Salahi appeared before Congress today to testify about their security breach at the White House state dinner in November, but repeatedly invoked the 5th Amendment, which protects against self-incrimination. Facing the House Committee on Homeland Security, Tareq Salahi refused to answer each question on advice of his counsel. "I don't respect your right to take the 5th Amendment," said Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ), who questioned the couple about ordering a tuxedo and whether they attended the dinner. "Are you here today, right now," a frustrated Pascrell asked. "You got an answer from your attorney on that?" The couple is also being investigated by a federal grand jury.
