One thousand U.S. Marines arrived in Pakistan Thursday to help relief efforts for the flood that’s killed at least 1,500 people and displaced 7 million more. The U.S. has so far pledged $71 million in emergency aid to Pakistan, and the Marines brought 19 helicopters with them. Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that more aid is needed, however. "All I say is that we need more help from our international friends," he said. "We need more such helicopters because the magnitude of the destruction was far more [than was earlier estimated]."
