The Grammys are spreading the love tonight, doling out early awards among top music acts from Eminem and Lady Gaga to Miranda Lambert and Alicia Keys. Lady Gaga, who wowed the red carpet by arriving in a giant egg, emerged from her ova to perform her new song “Born This Way” and has so far picked up awards for Female Pop Vocal Performance and Pop Vocal Album. Country bad girl Miranda Lambert grabbed her first ever Grammy for her single “The House That Built Me,” while Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ club anthem “Empire State of Mind” won for Rap Song. Eminem, the night’s top nominee, won an early award for Rap Solo Performance. Other statues went to Train (Pop Performance by a Duo or Group), the Black Keys (Alternative Album), and La Roux (Electronic Dance Album).
