Now this is something you don’t see every day. Snow fell on San Francisco’s Twin Peaks and Merced Heights neighborhoods early Saturday morning, but the snow didn’t stick to the ground. It was the first snow the city’s seen since 1976. Bay Area residents took to Twitter to celebrate, with Tweets like “SNOWMG! It’s snowing on Twin Peaks.” However, it’s expected to get warmer over the weekend, so it’s pretty unlikely that San Francisco will receive any more snowy surprises. “I’m not saying that it won’t happen, but it’s certainly not as probable,” said one forecaster.
