A host of NASA space shuttles may cease their travels after Atlantis’ final flight in June, but travelers will be able to visit them in four U.S. cities. NASA announced Tuesday that the retired shuttles will go to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida (Atlantis); California Space Center in Los Angeles (Endeavour); an Air and Space Museum center in Virginia (Discovery); and the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum in New York (Enterprise, a test shuttle that never went to space). Predictably, New Yorkers are already whining over the slight, but it could be worse: Houston, famously home of mission control, didn’t get anything at all. Museums receiving shuttles say they expect them to be worth millions in tourist revenues annually.
