After rumors that Lindsay Lohan would play mob boss John Gotti’s wife in a biopic about the family were debunked, the truth as been revealed—the troubled star will play Kim Gotti, the wife of John Gotti Jr. in the upcoming Gotti: Three Generations. Lohan, who is currently facing felony grand theft charges, told The Associated Press: "I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do.” John Travolta has been cast as John Gotti Sr., the patriarch of the Mafia family, and Joe Pesci was announced as one of his deputies. John Gotti Jr. sold the rights to his life story to Fiore Films, which will focus Gotti—due in 2012—on his relationship with his father. "You don't get to see the heart behind the story and the real side of people," Lohan explained of mob film fare. "I can relate to that because I think that I've been portrayed in a certain light." Lohan is due in court Friday in the case of an alleged stolen $2,500 necklace. "I think in the past, I had a lot of distractions," she said. "I've learned a lot." Lohan also signed on to appear in Fiore Films’ Mob Street.
