Just how deep does the News of the World phone-hacking scandal run? The technology firm HCL has reported to Britain's Parliament that it helped delete hundreds of thousands of emails per News International's request between April 2010 and July 2011. HCL maintains it had no suspicions that the company was trying to cover anything up at the time, and that there was another tech vendor involved in the email cleanup.
