A man in a Gumby costume attempted to rob a 7-Eleven in San Diego, but left the store 27 cents poorer than he entered. After demanding the store worker’s money, the man fumbled inside his suit as though reaching for a gun, dropped 27 cents, and then headed for the exit. The clerk didn’t originally report the crime, but his boss did after reviewing the surveillance tape. Police are now offering a $1,000 reward for a suspect.
