Can anyone keep this job? Hewlett-Packard’s board is debating whether to oust CEO Leo Apotheker after just 11 months on the job, sources tell Bloomberg. Apotheker was brought on to replace Mark Hurd, who left amid a scandal over his relationship with a company contractor. The board would replace Apotheker with Meg Whitman, the former CEO of eBay, who joined Hewlett-Packard’s board after failing in her campaign to become governor of California last year. Hewlett-Packard’s stock has dropped 47 percent during Apotheker’s tenure, as the company lost consumers to Apple and Apotheker tried repeatedly to focus the company on business software and services.
