After more than two years in an Iranian prison, Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer are free at last after being released on Wednesday. The two American men were freed soon after their lawyer and officials from the Swiss and Omani embassies—both of which have helped with the negotiations—were seen entering the Evin Prison in Tehran. The men were arrested in 2009 along with Sarah Shourd, who was released earlier on bail, after accidentally crossing into the country. Iranian state news outlets report that Fattal and Bauer were flown out of the country shortly after their release, and are now in Oman.
