From booing a gay soldier to cheering executions, the audiences at the recent GOP primary debates have grabbed almost as many headlines as the candidates. In anticipation of Tuesday night's debate, The Washington Post's Erik Wemple offers a "heckle risk analysis" of the expected audience makeup. While the "prominent Republicans" and media types who were invited are likely to keep quiet and follow the rules, Wemple's not so sure about the Dartmouth students who will be at the debate held on their campus. After all, the school's Latin motto, roughly translated, is "Voice of one crying in the wilderness." As Wemple writes, "Could you ask for a more blatant promotion for debate heckling?"
