A former FedEx employee opened fire at a Chicago facility on Thursday before fatally shooting himself, police and witnesses said. Witnesses said the ex-employee, who has not yet been named, entered the FedEx building around 7:50 a.m. and opened fire, sending workers scrambling for cover. Police locked the building down with SWAT teams standing by, and gunshots were heard about an hour later from inside the building. Police said the gunman had shot himself, and there were no reports of other injuries.
