An Amish sect’s beard-cutting spree may be at an end. FBI and local police raided an Amish compound in Ohio early this morning, arresting seven suspects, including the sect’s leader, Sam Mullet, and his three sons. Police say the sect assaulted several men and women in recent months and forcefully cut their beards and hair, a serious insult for the Amish. They are being charged with hate crimes.
