MSNBC.com is no more -- at least for now. On Sunday night, the website became NBCNews.com, marking the end of the news partnership forged by NBC and Microsoft in the early days of the Internet. NBC had reportedly been frustrated for some time that it didn't have sole control over the online property. Microsoft will receive roughly $300 million to give up its half of the website. The network will launch MSNBC.com early next year as a stand-alone site for the MSNBC cable channel.
