After a rousing introduction from his wife, Jill, Vice President Joe Biden took the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday to prepare the way for President Obama. In a video that opened the curtain on his speech, Biden outlined how his and Obama’s vision would enhance Americans’ economic mobility. “The poor would have a ladder into the middle class,” Biden said. The video highlighted his marriage to a teacher and the fact that he’s the father of an Iraq War veteran.
