President Obama pardoned two turkeys at the traditional pre-Thanksgiving ceremony Wednesday. “Once again, Nate Silver completely nailed it,” Obama joked. “The guy’s amazing. He predicted these guys would win.” The two four-month-old turkeys will live the rest of their lives at Mount Vernon, George Washington’s historic home. This year was the first time that Americans were able to use a Facebook poll to vote on which of two turkeys would become the National Thanksgiving Turkey. Cobbler won with 2,513 “likes” compared with Gobbler’s 2,230.
