Anonymous Pakistani officials have reported that at least eight suspected militants, one believed to be an al Qaeda operative, are dead after American drones hit a compound near the Afghan border. They were located in the North Waziristan tribal area in a town called Mir Ali. The U.S. drone program is controversial in Pakistan, where it's viewed as an infringement on their sovereignty.
