The war of the interns has only just begun. Another set of former unpaid workers has come forward with a class-action lawsuit, this time against publication giant Condé Nast. Court papers, which were filed Thursday, claim that Lauren Ballinger and Matthew Leib were each paid less than $1 an hour during their summers interning at W Magazine and The New Yorker, respectively, in 2009 and 2010. Ballinger, who reports having worked 10-hour days, said she decided to take action after her editor never sent her the recommendation she needed for course credit. The filing comes just days after unpaid interns who worked on the set of Black Swan won a lawsuit on Tuesday. Has no one seen The Devil Wears Prada?
