Big Brother's (still) watching, y'all. According to a transparency report released by Twitter on Wednesday, the U.S. government requested information on 1,319 Twitter accounts in 902 requests over six months. Though the U.S. isn't the only one snooping (twenty-five countries submitted such requests in the first half of 2013), the majority came from the American government. Requests were mainly for basic information, such as email addresses and IP addresses. About 67 percent of the requests were granted at least some information.
