HealthCare.gov Fixes ‘On Track’

judgment day

For self-imposed Sunday deadline.

HealthCare.gov got off a shaky start on what some are calling “D-Day” or “Judgment Day” for President Obama’s health-care overhaul. The U.S. government shut HeathCare.gov down for an 11-hour period ending at 8 a.m. on Saturday, the Obama administration’s self-imposed deadline to get the site working for the “vast majority” of users. The administration currently looks to be on track to meet that goal, as Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services spokesman Aaron Albright told Fox News in a statement on Saturday, "With the scheduled upgrades last night and tonight, we're on track to meet our stated goal for the site to work for the vast majority of users." Obama hopes to eventually enroll about 7 million people under the Affordable Care Act.
