App Lets You Skype With Santa

A Christmas list on a piece of paper? Lame. There’s a new app called “Hello Santa” that allows children to Skype chat with the big man himself. The call connects you to an actual person—not just some digital recording—and costs roughly $16. While that’s a pretty steep price, CEO Dorian Collier argues that it is worth it. "My son is used to using FaceTime with family, and a few months ago he asked ‘Daddy, can I call Santa?'" Collier said. "After not finding a good company offering this service at scale we decided to jump in with both feet.”
