Here's a dynamic duo. Netflix and Verizon Communications teamed up to directly stream video to broadband customers. The arrangement will "improve performance for our joint customers," Netflix says, but issued no details on the deal. A few months ago, the entertainment service signed an agreement for "paid peering" with Comcast to bring better quality streaming to broadband users. AT&T is also discussing a similar deal with Netflix.
