Pearlie Golden, a 93-year-old resident of Hearne, Texas, was shot multiple times and killed by a police officer Tuesday night. According to the police department, Golden "brandished a firearm" before the officer shot her multiple times. The officer was responding to a 911 call about a woman with a gun. "She did have a gun. ... Now, what she was doing with it, that is the ultimate question," said the district attorney, Coty Siegert. Golden died from the shooting injuries at a hospital in a nearby town.
