Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations James Comey made waves when he said potential G-Men who use marijuana should “go ahead and apply,” but he's changed his mind. In response to Senator Jeff Sessions’s accusation that Comey was making “light of marijuana use,” Comey said he is still “grappling” with the agency’s policy of prohibiting candidates who have smoked pot within the past three years. Comey said, “I waxed philosophic and funny to say, look one of the challenges we face is getting a good work force at the same time when young people’s attitudes about marijuana and our states’ attitudes about marijuana are leading more and more of them to try it.”
