New York state health officials are investigating the outpatient clinic where Joan Rivers was being treated before she stopped breathing last week. The 81-year-old comedienne went to Yorkville Endoscopy on the morning of Aug. 28 for what's been described as a minor throat procedure. She suffered cardiac arrest and was rushed to nearby Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was put in a medically induced coma. Daughter Melissa Rivers said Wednesday she was moved out of intensive care and is "being kept comfortable" in a private room. No more is known about Rivers's condition except that she remains on life support.
