One of the wives of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was arrested in Lebanon along with their child. Lebanon’s defense minister confirmed the arrest. A security official told Reuters that Baghdadi’s wife was arrested nine days ago after she tried to cross into the country from Syria. Lebanon’s Al Safir newspaper said authorities captured her “in coordination with foreign intelligence services.” She was traveling under a false identity with Baghdadi’s daughters—Lebanese officials said they had carried out DNA tests to confirm their relationship to Baghdadi. ISIS has yet to publicize a response to the arrests.
