More than half of Americans think race relations in the U.S. are bad, according to a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. On the heels of nationwide protest and public outcry over the cases of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and Eric Garner in New York, 57 percent of Americans expressed their pessimism about U.S. race relations. Just four in 10 said race relations are "good," a dramatic decrease from a July 2013 poll that found a majority of 52 percent felt race relations were fair or good.
