Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, will attend NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos’s funeral service this Saturday at the request of President Obama. Ramos was one of two NYPD officers gunned down last weekend amid nationwide tension between police and communities. “The President has asked Vice President Biden to attend the service for Officer Rafael Ramos and is grateful that the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will be traveling to New York City at attend the service on Saturday,” spokesman Eric Schultz said in a statement.
