Shot in the face during stop.

NYPD Officer Brian Moore, the 25-year-old cop who was shot in the head in Queens over the weekend, died from sustained injuries on Monday. Moore was attempting to question Demetrius Blackwell, an ex-con and cousin of former New York Giants cornerback Kory Blackwell, on suspicion of carrying a gun after spotting him adjusting his wasitband. Blackwell allegedly pulled the gun and shot Moore in the face. He was arrested and his charges will now include first-degree murder, according to Queens district attorney Richard Brown. NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton called Moore an "exceptional" officer and a loss to the city.
