According to FBI Director James Comey, the bureau issued an early warning to police officers in Garland, Texas, regarding Elton Simpson, who, along with Nadir Soofi, opened fire at a Draw Muhammad event Sunday night. Comey told reporters in Washington that the FBI had seen comments on social media that referenced the event, but didn’t know that Simpson, who lived in Arizona, was headed for Texas.
