64 Asian-American groups have filed a federal complaint against Harvard University for alleged “unlawful use of race” in the admissions process. According to the complaint, the university discriminates against Asian-American applicants with “almost perfect” SAT scores, “top 1% GPAs,” and “significant awards or leadership positions.” Harvard General Counsel Robert W. Iuliano ’83 issued a statement in response to the complaint, saying “that our approach to admissions is fully lawful remains true today.” Asian-Americans made up more than 21 person of this year’s incoming freshman class.
